mass of solute = 20g

volume of solvent = 100 ml

density of solvent = 1.05 g/ml

density of solvent = mass of solvent / volume of solvent

mass of solvent = density × volume

mass of solvent=1.05×100

mass of solvent= 105g

% mass

= mass of solute ×100/ mass of solvent

= 20×100/105

=0 .19×100

=19%
