Step 1:

4l of mixture contain milk and water in 5:3. so 2.5L milk and 1.5L water.

If we take take ratio of 2.5:1.5,it becomes 25:15(m:w)

total becomes 40 parts but we have given 20 litres i.e half,

therefore milk is 12.5 Land water is 7.5 L in 20L mixture.

now 2.5l milk and 1.5l water is removed. and 4litre milk is added,

now milk becomes 14L and water become 6l;

Milk:Water=14:6 i.e. 7:3.
