Correct Question

20 men can complete a piece of work in 25 days. They started the work, and after 5 days, 5 more men joined them. How many days will the work be completed?

Answer

  • The work can be done in =20 x 25 =500 man-days.
  • In 5- days (5 x 20) = 100 man- days of work was done.
  • The remaining (500–100)= 400- man-days of work will be done by (20+ 5)= 25- men in = 400/25= 16- days.
  • So totally the work will be completed in = (5+16)= 21- days.
