20 men were engaged to complete job in 10 days ,but it was half finished in 6days. How many additional men required to finish job in time??

Let the unknown value be 'x'.
20 men = 10 days
x men = 6 days
This is an inverse variation because, when the number of man increases, the number of days needed to complete the work decreases (and vise versa).
So, we should do straight multiplication.
20*10 = 6x
20*10/6 = x
200/6 = x
33.34 = x
It would take at least 34 men to complete the job in 6 days.
