20. The ratio between the rates of walking of A and B
is 2:3. If the time taken by B to cover a distance
is 24minutes, find the time taken by A to cover
the same distance.

let the distance for A be x.then,

x/24=3/2

Now ,

cross- multiply ,we get

2x=3×24

2x=72

x=36

Hence, time taken by A is 36minutes.
