21. Explain why, a burning candle stops burning after some time when covered with an inverted gas jar.

Burning of a candle needs continuous supply of oxygen present in the air. By covering the candle with a jar,the supply of oxygen gets cut and as there is only limited quantity of oxygen left the candle burns for a moment then goes off completely. Since there is no oxygen left in the jar.

Answer. This happens due to absence of oxygen as oxygen helps in burning... ... Due to absence of oxygen when burning candle is covered with an invested gas jar the candle gets extinguished after something.... Due to absence of oxygen....
