21 people going to one temple, they want rs 20. for men rs 3, women rs 2, children 50 paise, how money spent for men, women, children?

suppose no of men =x, women=y nad children=z

so x+y+z=20.

and 3x+2y+.5z=20

or6x+4y+z=40.

now subtracting we get 5x+3y=20 or x=(20-3*y)/5 or x=4-3*y/5

so value of x is less than 4 now it is 1 then y=5 (to get y)

putting the values of x and y in first equation we get z as 14

so men got =1*3=3

women got =5*2=10

and children got =14*.5=7
