21. Ten years ago, X was half of Y's age. If the ratio of
their present ages is 3:4, what will be the total of
their present ages?​

Answer:

let X's present age be = 3x

let Y's present age be = 4x

according to the Question,

(3x-10) = ½(4x-10)

=> 3x-10 = 2x-5

=> x = 5

therefore X = 3×5 = 15yrs

Y = 4x = 20yrs
