21.

Given Equation is (5^x - 5^x-1) = 100

 5^{x-1} ( 5^{1} - 1) = 100

 5^{x - 1} (4) = 100

 5^{x-1} =  \frac{100}{4}

 5^{x - 1} =  25

 5^{x-1} = 5^2

x - 1 = 2

x = 3.

Hope this helps!
