aswathy123: Simplifying
22 + -3s = 1

Solving
22 + -3s = 1

Solving for variable 's'.

Move all terms containing s to the left, all other terms to the right.

Add '-22' to each side of the equation.
22 + -22 + -3s = 1 + -22

Combine like terms: 22 + -22 = 0
0 + -3s = 1 + -22
-3s = 1 + -22

Combine like terms: 1 + -22 = -21
-3s = -21

Divide each side by '-3'.
s = 7

Simplifying
s = 7
