actually value of pi is an irrational number since the vlue of ratio of circumference of a circle to its diameter is non recurring and non terminating,but for the ease of various calculations we consider the value of pi is 22/7 and it is written in the form p/q where p is non zero integer and value of this ratio is non terminating but rucurring after 6 decimal places thats why it is a rational number.
