Answer:

The answer will be 2/3 or 0.66 .

Step-by-step explanation:

We have given;

              refractive index of glass with respect to air = 1.5;               (i)

Now, we know that;

Refractive index of medium1 with respect to medium2 is given in terms of refractive index as;

                    = refractive index of medium1 / refractive index of medium2

Similarly,  refractive index of glass with respect to air is given, in terms of refractive index, as;

                   = refractive index of glass / refractive index of air       (ii)

So, if we, somehow, get its reciprocal then the answer can be deduced;

Hence, for reciprocal both the medium will inter-change their places which means in this case we will calculate refractive index of air with respect to glass.

So, Refractive index of air with respect to glass;

                 = refractive index of air/ refractive index of glass

                 =  1 / (refractive index of glass / refractive index of air)    (iii)

So, it can be concluded from equation (i), (ii) and (iii) that;

                  = 1 / (refractive index of glass / refractive index of air) = 1 / 1.5;

                  = refractive index of air/ refractive index of glass = 2/3

Therefore, refractive index of air with respect to glass will equal to;

                        = 2 / 3 or 0.66

That's all.
