Solution :

Given :-

Heat produced = 220J

Current flow = 0.5A

Time interval = 10s

To Find :-

Resistance of heating element.

Formula :-

Formula of heat energy produced by electrical instrument in terms of current flow, resistance and time is given by

\bigstar\:\underline{\boxed{\bf{\pink{H=I^2Rt}}}}

  • H denotes heat energy
  • I denotes current flow
  • R denotes resistance
  • t denotes time interval

Calculation :-

\implies\sf\:220=(0.5)^2\times R\times 10\\ \\ \implies\sf\:R=\dfrac{220}{2.5}\\ \\ \implies\boxed{\bf{\large{\purple{R=88\:\Omega}}}}

H = I²Rt

H = 220J

I = 0.5A

t = 10s

H = I²Rt

R = H/I²t

R = 220/(0.5)²*10 = 22/0.25 = 2200/25  = 88 ohm
