Two factors responsible for the formation of new species:

Genetic drift, sexual reproduction is the two factors responsible for the formation of new species.

• Sexual reproduction gives rise to new species from time to time due to the transfer of genetic material.

• Generic drift is caused due to changes in gene flow. This will be imposed by the isolation mechanism.

• So many other factors also responsible for the formation of new species that are Natural selection, Geographical isolation, Genetic variations in the genes within a population and etc.

Factors that are responsible for generating new species

Explanation:

  1. Genetic drift-It is an important factor that is cause due to mutation in the DNA which results in the formation of new species.
  2. Natural selection-It support those organisms that have the ability to prefer those genes which is favorable for the environment and eliminate the genes that are unfavorable.
  3. Geographical isolation- It is a physical barrier that separates a population from it's main population thus due to lack of breeding, new species formation takes place.
