23. Vinita bought some hair clips and hair bands. There were 35 more hair
clips than hair bands. If the ratio between the hair clips and the hair
bands is 8 : 3, find the number of each of them purchased by Vinita

Answer:

Let no of hair bands be x then no of hair clips = x+35

Then ATQ

x+35/x=8/5

3x + 105 = 8x

8x - 3x = 105

5x = 105 so x = 21

So number of clips = x+ 35= 21+35 = 56

No of bands = 21
