Hi ,

*************************************

Let x = p/q be a rational number ,

such that the prime factorisation of

' q ' is of the form 2^n 5^m , where

n , m are non - negative integers .

Then x has a decimal expansion

which terminates .

********************************************

Here ,

235/16 = p/q

q = 16 = 2⁴

q is of the form 2^n5^m , here

n = 4 , m = 0 ,

Therefore ,

235/16 is a terminating decimal.

I hope this helps you.
