Mass transfer data were obtained on the walls of the fluidized beds using an electrochemical technique with a potassium ferri-ferro cyanide couple. The disc promoter assembly was used as internal in fluidized beds, and consisted of a rod on which discs were mounted at equal distance. The effect on mass transfer coefficient of particle diameter, void fraction, disc diameter and spacing between the discs was evaluated. The entire experimental data were correlated in terms of dimensionless mass transfer factor, flow factor and other pertinent dimensionless groups of variables covered in the study.
