(– 25) × [6 + 4] is not same as (c) (– 25) × 6 × 4

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

(– 25) × [6 + 4] is given

To find:

The option does not match the following equation

Solution:

The equation will be simplified bracket wise

The ways it can be done are as follows-

1) By adding the bracket (6+4) first and then multiplying the answer to (-25)

It will result in (-25) X 10, and that's option (a)

2) The second way is by multiplying the bracket (-25) singly by the other terms 6 & 4.

Symbollically (-25) X 6 + (-25) X 4

3) When it is further simplified it will as-

= (– 25) × 10

= -250

When we check out the answers option (c) does not match our preference. The bracket (6+4) in the option (c) will be added and not multiplied, hence it is not as same as (– 25) × [6 + 4]
