Hey There,
In Lewis Structure, the valence electrons are shown as dots.
Here, there are 2 valence electrons for Ca (Calcium)
This means that Valency of Ca is 2. Ca will prefer to lose 2 electrons.
Coming to O (Oxygen). There are 6 valence electrons in O. We know that instead of losing 6 electrons, it is much easier to gain 2 electrons to complete the octet.
So, Valency of O is also 2.
Now, it is easier to see that the two electrons lost by Calcium will be simply gained by Oxygen.
In other words, compund formed would be CaO , where both are in the same proportion.
Thus, your answer is Option A. 1:1
Hope it helps
