An intense feeling of deep affection or is it somehow more complicated than affection. Nonetheless there is no disputing that these two kids are in love. From the moment, the two met at the tender age of two a connection was forged to last a lifetime. Years would pass and they would grow apart, slowly beginning to loosen a bond that once seemed to be unbreakable. It would not be until adolescence that the two would properly reconnect. They did not know where their friendship would getting to know each other, he always made me laugh and then we began dating one day when he asked me out (September 26, 2012). Ever since that day we continued dating and began falling in “love” at least we think we were love. People always think kids don’t know what love really is. But I think we are still in love till this day. Three years after dating, I was sitting down wondering if what I didn’t want was going to be true. I’m in the bathroom just waiting for the results. And there it was, “positive”still today, love is one of the most talked about topics, from the media to our everyday lives. It is described as being one of the best feelings on earth, and one that many cannot live without. Being in love gives a feeling of purpose; something to live and strive for. Everyone in this world desires love in any form, whether it is with family, friends, or a romantic partner. It is a basic human need. Basic needs are said to motivate people when they are essentially unmet. When love and affectionthis did not stop me, and I continued my kindergarten career chasing after a boy in my class, making him hold my hand every time we went to recess. Alas, this crush continued until middle school, and I will always remember this boy as my first-first love at sight. Despite the infatuation my six year old self found herself in, there laid a sort of mystery around girls. It was not until I was in sixth grade when I started developing an inclining around the other girls I spent a majority of my time withor their loved ones result, leaving the seekers of happiness unable to fulfill their lives since they lack love. In Sappho's "Poem 16", She states, "Some men say an army of horse and some men say an army on foot and some say and army of ships is the most beautiful things on the black earth. But I say it is what you love" (Carson 638). To Sappho, agents of war do not portray beauty, but love does. War and the things that come along with it have trivial value, but beauty resides in seeking and nurturing.
