Example: She said,"How is she?" (Direct)

               She asked how she was. (Indirect/Reported)

In the above example, when writing in indirect/reported form, the sentence changes according to its tense form. Also, modifications regarding certain words like 'this' changes to 'that', 'tomorrow' changes to 'the next day', 'these' changes to 'those', 'you' changes to 'I' and many other words will have to be made.

The little girl cried,"None of my friends will come." (Direct)

The little girl cried saying that none of her friends would come. (Indirect/Reported)
