26. My watch gains 3 minutes per day. I corrected it at 11 P.M. on Monday. What time would it show at 5
A.M. on Tuesday?

Answer:

The faulty Clock gains 5 minutes for every 60 minutes in the actual clock.

That faulty clock is reset with actual clock at 5:00 A.M. every day.

When the faulty clock shows exactly 10:00 A.M, it covers 300 minutes.

The time covered by actual clock when the faulty clock covers 300 minutes is equal to (60/65)*300 = 276.92 minutes

If we put it in hours counting from 5:00 A.M, the actual clock shows 9:36'56" A.M when the faulty clock shows 10:00 A.M.

Hope this helps and correct me if I am wrong.

Thanks.
