Answer :

  • Sulphur dioxide react with water to form sulfurous acid and water:-

\bold{(i)}\:\rm{SO_2(g)+H_2O(l)\longrightarrow{}H_2SO_3(g)}

\hrulefill

  • Sodium reacts with water to form sodium hydroxide and water:-

\bold{(ii)}\:\rm{2Na(s)+2H_2O(l)\longrightarrow{}2NaOH(aq)+H_2(g)}

\hrulefill

  • Iron reacts with oxygen (in the form of steam) to form iron oxide and hydrogen gas:-

\bold{(iii)}\:\rm{4Fe(s)+3O_2(g)\xrightarrow{\text{heat}}2Fe_2O_3(s)}

\hrulefill

  • Aluminium reacts with potassium hydroxide to from potassium aluminate along with hydrogen.

\bold{(iv)}\:\rm{2Al(s)+2KOH(aq)+2H_2O(l)\longrightarrow{}2KAlO_2(aq)+3H_2(g)}

\hrulefill

  • Ferric oxide reacts dilute sulphuric acid to form iron sulphate and water.

\bold{(v)}\:\rm{Fe_2O_3(s)+3H_2SO_4(aq)\longrightarrow{}Fe(SO_4)_3+2H_2O(l)}
