AB = AP + PQ + QB

Therefore,

QB = AB - AP - PQ

AB = 15km = 15,000m

AP = 3km 75m = 3,000 + 75 = 3,075m

PQ = 10km 65m = 10,000 + 65 = 10,065m

QB = 15000 - 3075 - 10065

      = 1860m = 1km 860m

Hence the distance between Q and B is 1km and 860m

Given :-

  • AP = 3km75m .
  • PQ = 10km65m.
  • AB = 15km .

Solution :-

From diagram we can say That,

AB = AP + PQ + QB

or ,

→ QB = AB - (AP + PQ) . -------- Equation (1)

Now, we have,

AP = 3km + 75m .

As we know, 1000m = 1km.

So, 75m = (75/1000) = 0.075 km.

Hence,

AP = 3.075km.

Similarly,

PQ = 10km + 65m.

→ PQ = 10.065km.

Putting These value in Equation (1) now, we get,

QB = 15 - (3.075 + 10.065)

→ QB = 15 - 13.140

→ QB = 1.86 km = 1km + 0.86km = 1km + (0.86*1000) = 1km + 860m .

Hence, Distance b/w Q and B is 1km and 860m.
