ATQ,

x -  \frac{2}{5}  \times 6 = 3

x -  \frac{12}{5}  = 3

add \:  \frac{12}{5} \:  to \: both \: sides

x -  \frac{12}{5}  + \:  \frac{12}{5}  = 3 +  \frac{12}{5}

x =  \frac{15 + 12}{5}

x =  \frac{27}{5}
