Given:

Mass of CO = Mass of CO2 = 28/2 = 14 gm

To Find:

Volume of  mixture at S.T.P.

Calculation:

- No of moles of CO = 14 / 28 = 0.5 moles

- No of moles of CO2 = 14 / 44 = 0.318 moles

- Total no of moles = 0.5 + 0.318 = 0.818 moles

- At STP 1 mole gas occupies volume = 22.4 litre

⇒ Volume occupied by 0.818 moles of gaseous mixture = 22.4 × 0.818

V = 18.32 L

- So the Volume of  mixture at S.T.P. is 18.32 L.
