28. In a CET examination (+2) marks are given for every correct answer and (-1)

marked is given for every wrong answer and zero for non - attempting any question.

(i) Puja scores 30 marks. If she got 20 correct answer, how many questions she has attempted incorrectly.

(ii) Ritka sores - 4 marks. If she got three correct answer. How many were
incorrect?​

This is a very simple question and u can solve it in the following steps:

1. Maks for correct answer = +2

Marks for incorrect answer = -1

Let the number of incorrect answer be x

Marks scored = marks for correct answer + marks for incorrect answer

30 = 20*2 + x*(-1)

30 = 40 -x

-x = -10

x=10

2. Let us take the number of incorrect answers as x

-5 = 3*2 + x*(-1)

-5 = 6-x

-x = -11

x = 11
