Marks for incorrect answer = -1

Let the number of incorrect answer be x

Marks scored = marks for correct answer + marks for incorrect answer

30 = 20*2 + x*(-1)

30 = 40 -x

-x = -10

x=10

2. Let us take the number of incorrect answers as x

-5 = 3*2 + x*(-1)

-5 = 6-x

-x = -11
