1. Ovary: The female germ-cells or eggs are made in the ovaries. It produces one egg every month. They are also responsible for the production of some hormones. 2. Oviduct: Carries egg to the womb/ uterus through a thin oviduct or fallopian tube. The two oviducts unite into an elastic bag-like structure known as the uterus. 3. Uterus: The uterus is an elastic bag-like structure. It prepares itself every month to receive and nurture the growing embryo. It nourishes the growing embryo (the lining thickens, richly supplied with blood). During birth, muscles in the uterus show rhythmic contraction.

Essential materials are supplied by placenta.Placenta is the connecting link between the mother and foetus.All the nutrients absorbed by mother is transferred to foetus by placenta.Like oxygen is transported to foetus by placenta and also the carbon dioxide is removed from the foetus by placenta.
