When a body is heated it may bring both physical change and chemical change. (Option C)

• When we apply heat to a body ,the different types of change occurs to that body.

• Now,the change that happens for heat application, can be both a chemical change or physical change. Everything depends upon the nature of substance, on which we are applying heat.

For example :

I) When we apply heat on wax,the wax starts melting, this is a physical change due to heat application.

II) When we appy heat to sugar, the sugar starts caramelizing ,this is a chemical change due to heat application.

• So,as a conclusion,we can say that both the physical and chemical changes can occur due to the heat application.
