29. 3grams of H, and 24 grams of o, are
present in a gaseous mixture at constant
temperature and pressure. The partial
pressure of H, is
1 1/3of total pressure
2)2/3 of total pressure

2) 2/3

moles of H = 3/2

moles of O = 24/32 = 3/4

now 3/2 +3/4 = 9/4

partial pressure of H = 3/2/(9/4) = 2/3 of total pressure

Note =

partial pressure of a gas = mole fraction of that gas
