given that:

length of rectangular room=8m

breadth of rectangular room=6m

area of the rectangular room= l×b

=8m×6m=48 sq.m

area of square tiles=side×side=4m×4m

=16 sq.cm

number of required tiles=4800 sq. cm/16sq.cm

=300tiles.

so, the required number of tiles are 300.

Answer:

192

Step-by-step explanation:

Area of room = l X b

                      = 6 X 8

                      = 48 sq. cm

Area of tile = 0.5 X 0.5

                  = 0.25 sq. cm

No. of tiles required = area of room / area of tile

                                 = 48/0.25

                                 =  192
