2 father's who ate apples are having the relation of father and son. Let the son here be son1 and this son1 is having a son who ate 1 apple.so father1 is the father of son1 and father 2 is son1 and son2 is son of father 2.so total here there are 3 persons who ate apples so totally they ate three apples
