some tips to solve this question :-

here is one statement in the question " it is without a lid"

it should be noted carefull that when there is no lid in the box then the total surface area include only lateral surface area and the base.

so to find the total surface area we add lateral surface area with the area of base..

or 2(l+b)h + (l*b)

\large{\mathfrak{Answer -}}

Given,

{l = 8 cm}

{b = 6 cm}

{h = 5 cm}

Now,

Inner \:  surface  \: area = 2(l + b)h + (l \times b)

 =  > 2(8 + 6)5 + (8 \times 6)

 =  > 2 \times 14 \times 5  + 48

 =  > 140 + 48

 =  > 188 \:  {cm}^{2}

\textbf {\underline {The area is 188 {cm}^{2}.}}
