Now, in quadrilateral PMQN,

∠MPN+∠PNQ+∠NQM+∠QMP=360°(∵ Angle Sum property of a quadrilateral)

∠MPN+∠NQM+180°=360°(∵∠PMQ+∠PNQ=180°)

40°+∠NQM=180°

∴ ∠NQM = 140°
