perimeter of square=perimeter of rectangle

side of the square=40m

hence perimeter of square=side×4

= 40 × 4

= 160m

therefore perimeter of rectangle is also 160m

given the breadth of the rectangle is 25m.

→ 2 ( l + b ) = 160m

→ 2 ( l + 25 ) = 160m

→ 50 + 2l = 160m

→ 2l = 160 - 50

→ 2l = 110m

→ l = 110/2

→ l = 55m

★ verification ★

perimeter of rectangle=2(l+b)

=2(55+25)

=2×80

=160m

hence verified

thus the Length of the rectangle is 55m.

AREA OF THE RECTANGLE=L×B

=55×25

=1375m²

AREA OF SQUARE=side×side

=40×40

=1600m²

area of square is more by = 1600 - 1375

= 225m²
