We have been given the equation:-

2sin x + \sqrt{3} = 0

Transposing:-

 2 sin x = -\sqrt{3}

 sin x = \dfrac{-\sqrt{3}}{2}

We know that the value of sine function is \dfrac{\sqrt{3}}{2} when x is equal to 60°

But, here is sign is negative, so the sine function lies in some other quadrant.

Sine function has positive value in 1st and 2nd quadrant. So, it lies in 3rd or 4th quadrant.

Therefore, the value of x would be 180° + 60° = 240°

Or

360° - 60° = 300°

The value of x is 240° and 300° !
