Concentarion of O2 is 0.01 mols/L

  • Kc = ([SO3]^2) / ([SO2]^2 X [O2]) = 100
  • [SO3] = [SO2]
  • Kc = 1 / [O2] = 100
  • [O2] = 1/100 = .01 M
  • There are a lot of values not given so we make assumptions as; volume=1 L, concentration term is in mols/liter. So this result will change if the values are given different.
  • Taking volume as V liters and n total number of O2 mols.
  • Kc = 1 / (n/V) = 100
  • n =  V/100
