Hey

Multiply the whole equation by 3

we get 6x² +5x - 6 = 0

6x² +9x - 4x -6 =0

3x(2x + 3) - 2(2x + 3) = 0

(3x-2)=0 or (2x+3)=0

x = 2/3 or x = -3/2

Hope it helps

Given 3x

2

−5x+2=0

Here, the coefficient of x

2

is 3 and it is not a perfect square.

∴ Multiply the equation throughout by 3.

⇒(3x

2

−5x+2=0)×3∴9x

2

−15x+6=0

Now, half of the coefficient of x is

25

.∴b= 25and b 2 =( 25 ) 2

So, 9x2 −15x+( 25 )

2 −( 25 ) 2

+6=0,(3x) 2

−15x+( 25 )

2 =( 25 ) 2

6=0,(3x) 2

−15x+( 25 )

2 =( 25 ) 2

−6(3x− 25 )

2 = 425

−6= 41

(Taking square root on both the sides)

3x− 25

=± 21

∴3x− 25

=± 21 or 3x− 25

=− 21

3x= 21 + 25

3x= 25 − 21

3x= 26 =3

3x= 24 =2

∴x=1 x= 32
