Answer:

2x {}^{2}   - 7x - 15 = 0 \\ 2x {}^{2}  - (10x - 3x) - 15 = 0 \\ 2x {}^{2}  - 10x + 3x - 15 = 0 \\ 2x(x - 5) + 3(x - 5) = 0 \\ (x - 5)(2x + 3) = \\  x = 5 \:  \: and \:  \frac{ - 3}{2}

hope it helps you

hi mate,

solution:

Factoring 2x²-7x-15

2x² - 10x + 3x - 15

Step : Add up the first 2 terms, pulling out like factors :

2x • (x-5)

Add up the last 2 terms, pulling out common factors :

3 • (x-5)

Step: Add up the four terms of step 4 :

(2x+3) • (x-5)

Which is the desired factorization

Final result :

(x - 5) • (2x + 3)
