Solution :

\bigstarBy using Substitution Method :

We have two equation;

\bullet\:\sf{2x-3y=-1......................(1)}\\\bullet\sf{2x+3y=11.......................(2)}

From equation (1), we get;

\longrightarrow\sf{2x-3y=-1}\\\\\longrightarrow\sf{2x=-1+3y}\\\\\longrightarrow\sf{x=-1+3y/2.....................(3)}

∴Putting the value of x in equation (2),we get;

\longrightarrow\sf{2\bigg(\dfrac{-1+3y}{2} \bigg)+3y=11}\\\\\\\longrightarrow\sf{\dfrac{-2+6y}{2} +3y=11}\\\\\longrightarrow\sf{-2+6y+6y=22}\\\\\longrightarrow\sf{-2+12y=22}\\\\\longrightarrow\sf{12y=22+2}\\\\\longrightarrow\sf{12y=24}\\\\\longrightarrow\sf{y=\cancel{24/12}}\\\\\longrightarrow\bf{y=2}

∴Putting the value of y in equation (3), we get;

\longrightarrow\sf{x=\dfrac{-1+3(2)}{2}} \\\\\\\longrightarrow\sf{x=\dfrac{-1+6}{2} }\\\\\\\longrightarrow\sf{x=\cancel{\dfrac{5}{2} }}\\\\\longrightarrow\bf{x=2.5}

Thus;

The value of x & y will be 2.5 & 2 .

Step-by-step explanation:

2x-3y = -1 ----------(1) eq

2x+3y = 11 ----------(2) eq

----------------

4x. = 10

x=10/4

x=2.5

then substitute the value of x is equal to 2.5 in eq (1)

2(2.5)-3y = -1

5 -3y = -1

-3y = -1 - 5

-3y = -6

y = 2

therefore x = 2.5 & y = 2
