Answer:

2x +3y=12. (i)

x-y=l. (2)

2x (2)

2x-2 y=2. (3)

subtract (3) from (2)

5y=10

y=IO/5=2

x-y=1

x-2=l

x=3

Ans x=3 , y = 2

Answer:

x = 3 , y = 2

Step-by-step explanation:

Since we are given the equations

  • 2x+3y=12\\                             ...........Equation ( 1 )
  • x-y=1                                  ............Equation ( 2 )

To Find:

Solution of the given system of Equations

Solution :

To solve these equations we have to follow these steps

Multiply the equation (2) with 2 we get

                              2x-2y=2              .........( 3 ) Equation

Now substitute the value of 2x=2+2y  from equation( 3 ) to equation (1)

substituting the value we get

        2+2y+3y=12

        5y=12-2=10

                 y=\frac{10}{5}=2

                         y=2

here we get the value of y= 2

Substitute the value of y in equation ( 2 ). we get

          x=1+y

          x=1+2=3

          x = 3

here we get the value of x = 3

Hence by solving the above system of equation we get x = 3 and y = 2 .
