Given :-

  • the length of a rectange is 3 times than it breadth
  • Perimeter of Rectangle = 192m

 \\

To Find :-

  • Length and Breadth of Rectangle

 \\

Solution :-

⟾ Let the Breadth of Rectangle be x

⟾ Then Length of Rectangle will be 3x

According to the Question :

➞ Perimeter of Rectangle = 2 ( L + B )

➞ 192 = 2 ( 3x + x )

➞ 192 / 2 = 3x + x

➞ 96 = 3x + x

➞ 96 = 4x

➞ 96 / 4 = x

24 = x

________________

Verification :

➞ Perimeter of Rectangle = 2 ( L + B )

➞ Perimeter of Rectangle = 2 (3x + x)

➞ Perimeter of Rectangle = 2 (3 × 24 + 24)

➞ Perimeter of Rectangle = 2 (72 + 24)

➞ Perimeter of Rectangle = 2 × 96

➞ 192 = 192

Hence Verified

________________

Therefore :

  • Length = 3x = 3 × 24 = 72m
  • Breadth = x = 24m

Additional Info :

Formulas Related to Rectangle:

  • Perimeter of Rectangle = 2( l + b)
  • Area = Length × Breadth
  • Length = Area / Breadth
  • Breadth = Area / Length
  • Diagonal = √(l)² + (b)²
