2x - 3y = 13 \: .....(i) \\ \\  7x - 2y = 20 \: .....(ii)

Multiplying (i) from 2 and (ii) from 3 .

We get,

4x - 6y = 26 \: .....(iii) \\  \\ 21x - 6y = 60 \: .....(iv)

Now,

Subtracting (iii) from (iv)

21x-6y = 60

- ( 4x - 6y =26)

_______________

17x = 34

=> x = 34/7

=> x = 2

Putting the value of x in equation (i).

we get,

2x2 - 3y = 13

=> - 3y = 13-4

=> y = 9/-3

=> y = -3

Hence ,

x = 2 & y = -3 .
