Hi ,

It is given that ,

( 2x + 3y ):( 2x - 3y ) = 3 : 2

( 2x + 3y ) × 2 = ( 2x - 3y ) × 3

********************************************

If a : b = c : d then ad = bc

***********************************************

=> 4x + 6y = 6x - 9y

=> 4x - 6x = -9y - 6y

=> ( -2x ) = ( - 15y )

=> x/y = ( -15 )/( -2 )

=> x/y = 15/2

Therefore ,

x : y = 15 : 2

I hope this helps you.

(2x+3y):(2x-3y) =3:2
2x+3y/2x-3y=3/2
By cross multiplication
2(2x+3y)=3(2x-3y)
4x+6y=6x-9y
-2x+15y=0
-2x= -15y
x:y= 15:2 Ans

mysticd: wrong , plz check
