Hi.
here is your answer.
● T - RNA is a single stranded molecule. About 10 to 20 % of the total cellular RNA is of this type.
● It contains 73 - 93 nucleotides only with the molecular ranging between 23,000 to 30,000 . It show 2 patterns of folding upon the itself.
● THE STRUCTURE OF T - RNA CAN BE EXPLAINED BY 2 MODELS
● The clover leaf model of t- RNA shows, presence of 3. arms namely DHU arm , middle arm and T ¥C arm . This have loop at their ends as amino aceyl binding loop, anticodon loop & ribosomal loop.respectively.
● t - RNA have G nucleotides at 5' end and CCA nucleotides at 3' end.
● t- RNA is also called s- RNA becoz it can not be easily separated even by ultra centrifugation technique.
● It carries specific type of amino acids at CCA end to the ribosome during protein synthesis.
● It places the required amino acids properly in the sequence and translate the coded message of m.-RNA in terms of amino acids.
