Find 2 coordinates on 2x - 3y = 4:

When x = 2 ⇒  2(2) - 3y = 4 ⇒ y = 0 ⇒ coordinates (2, 0)

When x = 1 ⇒  2(11) - 3y = 4 ⇒ y = 6 ⇒ coordinates (11, 6)

Plot 2x - 3y = 4 :

See attachment, graph plotted in red

Find 2 coordinates on 3y - x = 4 :

When x = 2 ⇒ 3y - (2) = 4 ⇒ y = 2 ⇒ coordinate (2, 2)

When x = 11 ⇒ 3y - (11) = 4 ⇒ y = 5 ⇒ coordinate (11, 5)

Plot 3y - x = 4 :

See Attachment, graph plotted in blue

Find the solution:

Solution = Point of intersection

Solution = x = 8, y = 4

Answer: x = 8, y = 4
