(2x + 4 ) ^2 - ( x-5)^2 =26x

=> [ (2x)^2 + (4)^2 + 2 (2×)(4)]-[(×)^2 + (5)^2 -2 (×)(5) =26×

=> 4×^2 + 16 + 16× -×^2 -25 +10× -26× =0

=> 3×^2 -9 =0

=> 3×^2 =9

=> ×^2 =3

=> × = +root3 , × = -root3

since we need positive value.

Therefore,

x = 3
