2x+5/3x+4=3

2x+5=9x+12

2x-9x=12-5

-7x=7

x=-1

Now,

CROSS MULTIPLY;

Therefore,

1(2x + 5) = 3(3x + 4) \\ 2x + 5 = 9x + 12 \\ 2x - 9x = 12 - 5 \\  - 7x = 7 \\  x =  \frac{7}{ - 7}  \\ x =  - 1
