2x+5y=-4
so y=(-4-2x)/5

•Input it in second equation:
-3x-4(-4-2x)/5)=-8
-15x+(16+8x)=-40
-7x=-56
x=-56/(-7)
=8

•Now calculate y
y=(-4-2x)/5
=(-4-2(8))/5
=-20/5
=-4

So x=8 and y=-4
