ax²+bx+c = 0 , we get

a = -2 , b = 3 , c = 2

Discreminant (D) =b²-4ac

= 3²-4×(-2)×2

= 9 + 16

= 25

> 0

Therefore,

discreminant (D) >0

real and distinct roots.

Splitting the middle term, we get

-2x²+4x-1x+2 = 0

=> -2x(x-2)-1(x-2) = 0

=> (x-2)(-2x-1)=0

=> x = 2 Or -2x = 1

=> x = 2 Or x = -1/2
